but there're no driving tests in the night one right? cos i feel night time usually less training, approval of leave for driving sounds more logical and acceptable.
Nope...testers work office hours...
I suggest TS keep his BTT and wait until he actually starts on his unit posting before thinking about going on to FTT...unless he doesnt mind his 6 bucks being forfeited.

another way to look at it is...U managed to get time off for your FTT...U pass...but then U still in army training phase...going for regular practical lessons would be tough...and ur FTT validity date is already counting down...

and....skarli U posted as driver leh?

New ez-link cards that run on new payment system to roll out from December
SINGAPORE: Commuters will now have to get new ez-link cards supported by a new e-payment system.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Tuesday those with current ez-link cards will be able to get the new cards in a free one-for-one replacement exercise in early January.
Those who need to buy a new ez-link card will be able to buy one in late December.
This new "CEPAS-compliant" card will not require a travel deposit, and commuters will be able to use cards issued by any card issuer as long as the card complies with the CEPAS standard.
There are currently two card issuers in Singapore - EZ-Link and NETS - and the new system can support up to four issuers.
The new e-payment system starts this month, but will run with the existing farecard system to give commuters ample time to switch over.
LTA tested the system over two months in a trial which involved 5,000 commuters and 1.7 million transactions. It launched a public education programme on Tuesday.
Eventually, the new cards will be able to run on new generation In-vehicle Units, which will be fitted in new cars from next year.http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/393620/1/.html

When I was enlisted into army in tekong and then post out to unit, I was in the infantry unit you know they say hokkien peng and I check with my bmt friend and my junior as well, I see many of them posted to service side such as clerk, admin and more lucky want, they kena driver. That is the real lucky I mean, after ord, they got free license and I was like wtf, people stay out 8 - 5 and me stay in mon - fri, go through outfield, carry over 20kg1 route march for over 30km, xiong SOC and many more PT. I mean why people got such a comfort life in army and why I so xiong wan?
Do you guys have this smiliar grudges as I do?
I think U need to change ur mindset...
cannot have an army full of drivers/clerks and no infantry people...U think urs is siong...later other people also tell U theirs more siong...
at the end of the day...it all boils down to luck and U got the short end of the stick(depends on how U look at it).
just make the best out of ur 2 years and ORD.

Hi guys,
I write here because i can think of no other place that i can seek advice, and would gladly appreciate any.
I am 27 years old, male, and graduated last year from an Australian university after spending 2 years plus there. Have been working in a bank as a relationship manager (aka salesman) ever since.
After I graduated, i found that jobs were limited (i graduated in finance) and people didn't take my degree seriously. I was offered jobs pertaining to insurance and sales, which is why i am at my current job (I think i sent out over 100 resumes). Don't get me wrong. I like my job, i consider myself more of a right brained person that possesses (hopefully) good EQ.
The thing is, I'm not happy with my life. I think i deserve better. I'm working 12-13 hours a day, not earning enough, and the future looks bleak. Living in a HDB flat while slogging away for the next 30 years trying to pay off the housing loan, while servicing car instalments and yet desperately saving for my children's education doesn't really appeal to me. Just like any other man, I look forward to providing my future wife with a comfortable lifestyle, and to be able to send my kids overseas to study.
I am thinking of moving back to Australia, to Sydney, maybe back to Brisbane (where i studied). I think Australia might be able to offer me what I want. My only concern is not being able to find a job when i get there. i dont mind working in Coles/Woolworths till i get a job.
What do you guys think? I think i am gutless for not being brave enough to seek a better future for myself, and at the same time, i can't bear to leave everything behind. my family, friends ... etc etc ... (FOOD..).. etc.
I would be glad to hear any thoughts ... thanks.
What makes U think Australia will have better chances for U...with the current economic situation...what's more ur degree is in finance...
its not about guts....

Why? you believe human beings are only one of a time stupid and its unique?
Or like your friend on this forum, that considers himself too experienced that only others are “killing” other people by sprouting ‘stories’? And that he is the true saviour of troubled teenaged girls on this forum?
because I think its quite sick for mothers to do that to their own babies...or for an adult to do it to a baby for that matter....but of course...the world is not perfect.
I have no idea who is that "friend" U are referring to..and why is he my friend?

If yes, how did he manage to kill the tiger just by his bare hands? On tv shows, it shows that he jump on top of the tiger so that the tiger could not bite him and than he beat the tiger with his fists until it die.
Is that true?
Are there other real life incidents of people killing a tiger/lion by his bare hands?simple answer.
TV producers are not known to be expert tiger killers.
