Tottenham target £15m Chelsea striker Anelka

Tottenham have made an enquiry about signing Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka in case they fail to sign Samuel Eto'o from Barcelona.
With Dimitar Berbatov almost certain to leave Spurs are looking for replacements.
They have targeted Valencia's David Villa - as revealed by Sportsmail - as well as Eto'o, with chairman Daniel Levy reported to be ready to fly to Spain to bring the player back.
But reports in the Express suggest Tottenham have shortlisted Anelka and are ready to offer £15m for the France star who joined Chelsea in January.
However, with the Blues set to lose Didier Drogba they may decide to keep him - or at least prevent London Premier League rivals buying him.

its a surprise a lot of strikers are struggling in chelsea.. all except drogba has not really delivered.. and now drogba is leaving.. i wonder..
mutu, gudjohnsen, shevvy, crespie, anelka, pizarro..
all these are definitely quality players.. something is wrong.. dont you guys think so? i think chelsea's football aint suitable for strikers.. maybe a strong and clinical striker suits best.. someone like drogba.. adriano maybe? anelka was doing not too bad at liverpool and definitely brilliant at arsenal.. lols

i wouldn't consider crespo and gudjohnson as flops.. mutu had a great start, but he started taking drugs..but you're right on one count, and that is that the service from the chelsea midfield isn't all that great.
